Expose local heating controls to your own apps
TadoLocal reads and changes heating settings through the Internet Bridge’s local HomeKit interface. It offers an HTTP API, a live event stream and a local SQLite history that other smart-home systems can use. It also includes support for separately paired Smart AC Control V3+ devices.
You need a HomeKit-enabled Internet Bridge and a computer running the server. Despite the README’s cloud-free wording, the code starts tado authentication and regularly syncs cloud metadata and battery information; some schedule commands also use the cloud. Basic HomeKit controls run locally, while those cloud features remain subject to tado’s API quota.
tado limits free use of its API: about 100 requests a day without Auto-Assist (20,000 with it), though some accounts still get 1,000. Check your account's rate-limit headers.
