About co.build

co.build is a catalog of open-source apps, tools and firmware that change what a device you already own can do. People come here to remove ads from a TV, keep their own copy of a wearable's health data, stop paying for a subscription the hardware doesn't need, or keep a device working after its maker drops support.

How the catalog works

Every listing is a third-party project with public source code. For each one we record what it does, which devices and models it supports, its license, how active the project is and how to set it up. Owners vote for the mods they use and post whether a mod worked on their model and firmware, so the next owner sees real results rather than marketing.

Devices without good mods yet are listed too. Owners vote on what they want built, and builders can pick a request knowing who is waiting for it. Anyone can submit a project for review.

Who runs it

co.build is run by Just Cobuild, Co. The site's code is on GitHub. We don't build the listed projects; their authors do, and each project's own license and instructions apply.
