Tado Assist
Plug-inAutomate home, away and open-window actions
Tado Assist adds account-level automation switches to Home Assistant, a smart-home server you run yourself. It checks tado’s cloud presence and open-window state, then can change home/away mode or pause a zone.
Install it through HACS, Home Assistant’s community integration store, and authorize your account through the device-code flow. Automatic checks use the limited cloud allowance; with its assistant disabled, the Away switch can send a change only when an automation calls it.
tado limits free use of its API: about 100 requests a day without Auto-Assist (20,000 with it), though some accounts still get 1,000. Check your account's rate-limit headers.
