openHAB Alexa Skill
Plug-inControl your openHAB home by voice
The openHAB Alexa Skill exposes lights, thermostats, locks, sensors and scenes from openHAB, a home automation server, to Alexa. It uses Amazon’s official Smart Home API v3, so your Echo can control those items with normal voice commands.
The published skill connects through myopenHAB, or you can deploy your own skill and point it at an HTTPS server. Private deployment needs Amazon developer and AWS accounts; either route still sends voice requests and smart home commands through the cloud.
- Use it in your own home automations
- Expose scenes and sensors to Alexa
- Choose which home devices Alexa can see
