Plug-inRead your Bolt locally in Home Assistant
OBD BLE Vehicle Monitor reads a Bolt through a Bluetooth Low Energy OBD-II adapter. It makes battery and charging readings available to Home Assistant, a self-hosted home-automation system, without an OnStar account or plan.
Plug the adapter into the diagnostic port and keep a Home Assistant Bluetooth radio or proxy near the parked car. Readings update only when the car is reachable and its modules answer; freshness sensors show when values are old.
The Bolt profiles distinguish 2017–2018 battery-capacity queries from later cars. Many mappings are marked unverified in the source, so compare them with your car before using the values in automations.
