Plug-inBuild car automations with visual Node-RED flows
This plug-in adds OnStar commands and readings to Node-RED, a visual tool for building automations. It uses GM's private API to read diagnostics and location or issue supported lock, remote-start and EV-charging commands. You connect its nodes to your own schedules, notifications and data storage.
You need Node-RED and a US or Canadian OnStar account with the required included or paid service. Authentication may require importing tokens from a separate Firefox helper, especially in Home Assistant's Node-RED add-on. Functions differ by vehicle, and GM's login blocks can interrupt access.
