Plug-inTrigger Node-RED flows through a local Echo bridge
This Node-RED plug-in exposes automation nodes as lights that an Echo can discover on your home network. Node-RED, a visual tool for connecting devices and services, receives on/off, brightness and color commands through a local Hue bridge emulator.
You need Node-RED and a reachable local port 80, with no Alexa skill to create. The 2026 README warns that discovery and control are unreliable after Amazon-side changes, while spoken requests still use Amazon’s cloud.
