Homebridge NoLongerEvil Nest
Plug-inControl an older Nest from Apple Home
Bring a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Nest already running compatible NoLongerEvil firmware into Apple Home through Homebridge, a home automation bridge. The plugin reads temperature and humidity and sends supported mode, setpoint and fan commands through your self-hosted NoLongerEvil server.
Use the published 1.3.0 plugin, a supported Homebridge and Node version, and your server’s control URL and API key. The optional Smart Schedule switch can clear the thermostat’s schedule and change its learning behavior, so review those settings before enabling it. Stock firmware and unverified European Heat Link setups are outside this route.
