AppUse AirPods presses and nods to control Android
HearOn Link reads battery and settings over the AirPods Bluetooth control channel and maps supported stem presses or head gestures to media actions, the desktop or an app. It runs on Android phones and Googlebooks, keeps settings locally and has no internet permission.
Rootless control needs Android 17 or a Pixel on Android 16 QPR3, despite the broader Android 13 installation badge. The author tested AirPods Pro 2 USB-C on an HP Googlebook; other registered models follow protocol research, and hearing-aid setup, Find My and automatic device switching are outside this app.
