GreenPods
AppRead head motion and control AirPods on Android
GreenPods reads battery and ear state over Bluetooth and adds automatic play/pause, low-battery alerts and local monitoring. When the phone permits the Apple control channel, it also offers noise controls and head-motion tools on supported models.
Battery features need Android 8 or newer, while advanced access is verified on a stock Pixel 8 running Android 17 and may fail on other phones. Its source wires Pro 3 heart-rate capture and optional Health Connect output, but the README still calls that feature unshipped, so that path remains uncertain.
- See earbud and case battery levels
- Pause audio when you remove an earbud
- Change listening modes without an iPhone
- Use head movement and sensors in other apps
- Control AirPods from Android
- Head-motion calibration and gestures
- Transport diagnostics
- Optional Health Connect output for heart rate
