Plug-inUse tado heating and AC in home automations
The Tado integration brings thermostat, radiator, hot-water and AC controls into Home Assistant, a smart-home server you run yourself. It polls tado’s private cloud API for room readings and account state and sends changes through that same service.
Add Tado in Home Assistant and approve the device-code sign-in on tado’s website. The code adapts polling to the remaining allowance, so a free account can receive infrequent updates; tado X requires another integration.
tado limits free use of its API: about 100 requests a day without Auto-Assist (20,000 with it), though some accounts still get 1,000. Check your account's rate-limit headers.
