Home Assistant Emulated Hue
Plug-inControl home automations through a local bridge
Home Assistant, a hub you run for home automations, can present its lights, switches and other entities to an Echo as Philips Hue lights. The Echo sends device-control requests to this bridge across your home network.
You need Home Assistant and a network that allows the Echo to discover it, with the bridge listening on port 80 for newer Echo models. Alexa still sends spoken requests to Amazon, and updates can disrupt discovery or make existing devices appear unresponsive.
