go2rtc Tapo and Kasa camera sources
Plug-inStream Kasa and Tapo cameras to local apps
The TP-Link sources in go2rtc, a local video bridge, read proprietary Tapo and Kasa camera streams. They can expose the feed to a browser or another recorder without relaying video through TP-Link’s cloud. The Tapo source also supports the camera’s talk channel.
Run go2rtc on your network and configure the source URL with the documented account credentials. No Tapo Care or Kasa Care plan is needed. Model and firmware differences affect authentication, video decoding and talkback, and recording requires a separate recorder.
