Record and search camera footage on your own server

Frigate records local camera streams and finds people, vehicles and other supported objects on a server you run. Its browser interface brings live views, events and saved clips together; an optional Home Assistant connection can use detections in home automations.

You need an always-on Docker host, storage and a camera stream configured for the exact model. Video decoding and detection need suitable hardware, and Home Assistant integration also needs an MQTT broker. Frigate+ models are a separate paid option; the core recorder is open source.
