Add MQTT controls to a local Free Sleep Pod
SFenton's Free Sleep fork adds MQTT, a local messaging protocol, and automatic discovery in Home Assistant, a home-automation server. It publishes hardware state and readings and accepts schedule, temperature and alarm commands through your messaging broker.
You need a rooted compatible Pod and an MQTT broker. Rooting means opening the hub and wiring a serial adapter to its circuit board, as in Free Sleep's install guide. The code adds a settings screen for the broker connection. The README largely repeats upstream documentation, so use this fork's installer and review its code and configuration before switching an existing installation.
