ESPHome Samsung HVAC Integration
Plug-inControl wired Samsung climate systems locally
This component uses ESPHome, a firmware builder for small boards, to read and control supported Samsung air conditioners and heat pumps over their wired bus. Home Assistant, a home automation server, receives temperatures, settings and supported energy readings through your local network.
You need an ESP32, an RS-485 adapter and access to the documented bus terminals. It needs no SmartThings hub, Samsung account or cloud service. Exact-unit compatibility matters: some older units provide readings without accepting commands.
