Use your Echo with local Home Assistant voice
EchoLocal replaces Amazon's running services with a local daemon while keeping the supported Echo's underlying Fire OS. It reads the device's microphones and buttons directly and connects voice, playback and sensors to Home Assistant, a home automation server you run.
Installation needs a rooted, unlocked device and its matching boot image. You can use local speech processing and playback from Music Assistant, a music-library server, while Echo Show models also offer native dashboards and camera streaming.
