DeskThing
AppUse Car Thing as a desktop app controller
DeskThing runs a server on your computer and a client on the Car Thing, connected over USB. Its apps can control desktop music, show information and trigger actions with the screen, buttons and dial.
Install a compatible custom firmware image and the DeskThing client, then keep the computer and DeskThing running whenever you use it. The platform itself needs no Spotify account or paid plan, while individual apps can require their own accounts and services.
