Bridgething
FirmwareMusic and small apps through your phone
Bridgething replaces the firmware with a browser app platform and music controls, including Spotify, Apple Music and Subsonic servers for your own library. A companion app on your phone or computer supplies music state and a network connection over Bluetooth or USB.
A computer is needed to install the firmware once; a paired phone can support everyday use in the car. Spotify mode requires Spotify Premium and uses private Spotify services, while Apple Music needs its own service account; local apps and Home Assistant do not require a Spotify plan.
