MacThing
AppControl Mac audio, meetings and reminders
MacThing turns Car Thing into a USB control panel for a Mac, with Now Playing, calendar, weather and clock screens. It reads media information from macOS, so compatible music and podcast apps can appear without a Spotify account.
The Mac must keep running and connected during use, and Car Thing needs an ADB-enabled community image. Setup uses Node and Apple's command-line tools, with additional Mac permissions for the features you enable.
- Give it a new job
- Use other music services
- Mac system volume and media controls
- Calendar alerts and meeting timers
- Reminders and weather
