Car Thing Desk Hub
DashboardShow news, weather and home-server information
Car Thing Desk Hub runs a dashboard on a Linux computer and shows it through a Nocturne-based Car Thing kiosk. It combines news, weather, markets, calendars and server information, with optional Spotify controls, iPhone Bluetooth features and a voice assistant.
The full desk dashboard needs the running Linux host, while a limited car mode uses the paired iPhone and cached data from a USB charger. Optional OBD readings need a Bluetooth adapter in the car's diagnostic port, but the published OBD screenshot is a demonstration and real vehicle compatibility is unverified.
- Give it a new job
- Use other music services
- Use it without a running computer
- Home-server status and update checks
- Optional iPhone notifications and media
- Optional read-only OBD-II display
