Deduplicate repeated data on a Btrfs volume
This script enables DSM’s Btrfs deduplication controls on documented Synology models. It lets eligible volumes reclaim space occupied by repeated data blocks, including documented HDD and SSD routes.
It needs root access, Usage detail analysis and at least 4 GB RAM for tiny deduplication or 16 GB for full deduplication. DS224+ needs a memory upgrade. Match the exact DSM build in the working table, keep backups and expect to reapply the change after DSM updates.
