ScanMole
AppTurn scans into searchable PDFs on Linux
ScanMole scans documents through SANE and turns them into searchable PDFs with local OCR. Its Linux desktop app gives you scan settings and controls for saved files; a command-line tool supports repeatable scan jobs.
Install the scanner backend and confirm it sees your device before adding ScanMole. These network models use an AirScan/eSCL route. Feeder, duplex and color options depend on the scanner and backend, so check the detected capabilities before a batch.
