NAPS2
AppScan, organize and save searchable PDFs
NAPS2 scans documents into a local library where you can reorder, rotate and crop pages, then save a PDF or image file. Its text recognition can make scanned documents searchable. It connects through standard scanner drivers or AirScan on the local network.
The listed Brother models and Canon G600 series have documented AirScan support. The MG2550S route uses SANE over USB on Linux; Lexmark CX532adwe and the listed Epson models follow documented AirScan capabilities and still need an initial discovery test. Use a native Linux package when relying on an external SANE driver.
- Use your scanner with Linux apps
- Keep scans on your own network
- Scan without the maker’s desktop app
- Searchable PDF export
- Page editing and reordering
- Local scanner sharing
