Command lineRead playback and send commands from a terminal
pyatv includes atvremote for discovering, pairing with and controlling an Apple TV over the local network. Its atvscript command returns playback and device information as JSON for your own scripts.
Install the Python package on a computer and pair it with the code shown on the TV. Controls and metadata depend on the app, and AirPlay access restrictions can prevent connection. It does not provide a complete viewing-history export.
