Control AirPods from a Linux terminal
podctl reads AirPods battery and settings over Bluetooth and provides commands for supported noise modes, ear detection and microphone selection. Its daemon can pause media on removal, lower conversation volume, and drive optional tray and case-open popups.
The author tested the control path with AirPods Pro 2 USB-C. Several commands shown in help are unimplemented, and plain AirPods 4 currently resolves to an unknown model despite appearing in the README's capability table.
