OpenWrt
FirmwareRun an open router system on supported hardware
OpenWrt replaces a supported router’s stock firmware with a Linux system, a local web interface and a package manager. You can manage routing, firewall rules and supported network services without a vendor cloud account.
Support depends on the exact model and hardware revision, not the brand. Check the current Table of Hardware and installation guide before downloading an image; firmware formats, recovery steps and Wi-Fi limitations vary. Back up the existing settings and prepare a recovery method before flashing.
