MyPods
AppControl AirPods and shape their sound on Linux
MyPods reads AirPods battery and settings directly over Bluetooth, with noise control, ear pause and iPhone handoff on Linux. It also adds a ten-band equalizer and audio effects; its Windows app offers battery, ear pause and EQ, with fewer AirPods controls.
Linux needs BlueZ and PipeWire, and iPhone handoff requires a system Bluetooth identity change. Head-tracked spatial audio and transparency tuning are unverified, and most recognized models have not been tested by this project.
AirPods control needs no Apple account or subscription. When its optional iPhone playback view looks up album artwork, it sends the artist and title to Apple's iTunes Search API.
