FirmwareReplace a Midea dehumidifier’s cloud Wi-Fi dongle
Build an ESP8266 replacement for a compatible Midea dehumidifier’s Wi-Fi adapter and control it locally through MQTT. The firmware provides power, mode, fan speed and humidity controls, plus current humidity and error status. Home Assistant can discover it automatically.
You need an ESP-01, a level-shifting serial adapter and a connection to the appliance’s adapter port. The port carries serial signals despite its USB shape; follow the documented wiring and match the listed hardware before replacing the original dongle.
