Plug-inUse fridge targets and door states in local automations
Home Connect Local connects Home Assistant, a self-hosted smart-home hub, directly to the appliance over its local encrypted connection. Fridge and freezer profiles expose target temperatures, door states and alarms. Laundry, cooking and dishwashing entities vary by appliance.
First pair your appliances in Home Connect and use the separate Profile Downloader to obtain their local credentials. Import the profile ZIP and keep Home Assistant on a network that can reach the appliances. Reported model-specific failures include washer program selection and hob or hood connections that need recovery.
