See whether a compatible Whirlpool or Maytag washer or dryer is running, whether its door is open, and when a cycle finishes. Homebridge, a bridge to Apple Home, reads these status sensors from the Whirlpool cloud. Laundry monitoring is read-only.

You need a supported US or EU app account. Compatibility with the named machines is inferred from the Home Assistant protocol; the plugin documents synthetic validation and no live appliance test. Detailed timers need a HomeKit app such as Eve.
