Plug-inControl the microwave hood from Home Assistant
Whirlpool Microwave adds the hood light and exhaust fan from a Whirlpool WMH78019HZ to Home Assistant, a hub for home automations. It reads the private Whirlpool cloud API and exposes door, running and remaining-time sensors, plus quiet mode, control lock and turntable switches.
Install the custom integration and use the Whirlpool app account that owns the microwave. Setup selects the first Cooking appliance on the account, and its pinned Python library conflicts with the version required by the checked built-in Whirlpool integration. The author reports hardware validation on WMH78019HZ; the appliance still needs the cloud.
