HomePod Radio
Plug-inPlay local files and radio from Home automations
HomePod Radio sends local audio files and lawful internet-radio streams to HomePod over AirPlay. It adds playback switches to Homebridge, a server that brings additional accessories into Apple Home, and can also accept local playback webhooks.
The Homebridge computer needs Python and pyatv, and it stays on while streaming. The README does not support stereo pairs and says its Siri shortcut works on iPhone or iPad but not reliably on HomePod mini.
- Play your own music and audio on it
- Use it in your own smart-home automations
- Keep your audio and control on your own network
- Per-file HomeKit playback switches
- Local playback webhook
- Multiple target selection
