Command lineExport GoPro GPS tracks to GPX, KML and CSV
gopro2gpx is a Python tool that reads the GPS stream (GPMF, GoPro's telemetry format) inside a GoPro MP4 and writes it out as GPX, KML and CSV files. Those files work in mapping, running and cycling apps and in overlay tools. It includes a small windowed version as well as the command line.
It uses ffmpeg, a free video tool, to find the telemetry track and needs no GoPro account or subscription. The README says it was tested on a HERO7 and should work on any camera above HERO5, and its update notes add HERO13 labels.
Because HERO12 has no GPS, a HERO12 clip gives no track. MAX footage is not named in the README.
