Add local heat-pump control with native ESPHome
ESPHome’s Mitsubishi CN105 component controls an indoor unit over its wired serial socket. It can expose temperature, operating mode, fan and swing controls to Home Assistant, a home automation hub, and send an external room-temperature reading to the unit.
You need an ESP board, suitable voltage conversion and a CN105 cable. Select the UART settings and controls for the exact indoor unit; the current configuration uses a mitsubishi_cn105 hub with a linked climate entity. Installing it means opening the indoor unit and wiring a small board to its CN105 port.
