ControlThing
Plug-inControl Mac audio and Car Thing brightness
ControlThing adds a swipe-down panel for Mac volume, audio-output selection, system status and a focus timer. It reads local macOS information and can set the Car Thing's backlight through DeskThing's USB connection.
The tested host is an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later, with DeskThing server 0.11.17 and client 0.11.2. Its client patch targets that exact bundle layout, and manual brightness control stops the firmware's ambient-light service.
