Plug-inUse car readings and controls in Home Assistant
Bring charge level, range, tyre pressure, location and other car readings into Home Assistant, a home automation server. It signs in to the private API used by the overseas BYD app and exposes supported climate, locking and charging-schedule controls. Home Assistant can record the readings and use them in automations.
Install the custom integration and supply a working BYD app account for the correct country; remote commands also need the operation PIN set in that app. Frequent refreshes can wake the car and drain its battery, and some readings and commands differ between cars or fail at BYD's servers. It does not provide a reliable command to stop an ongoing charge.
