AppUse your Canon Rebel T3 as a Linux webcam
BigCam turns the Rebel T3’s USB live view into a webcam feed for Linux apps. It adds a preview, camera controls, recording and a virtual camera through gPhoto2 and v4l2loopback.
Build the supplied Arch/BigLinux package, or install the listed dependencies and run the app from source on another Linux distribution. A matching v4l2loopback kernel module is required. The project documents the EOS 1100D/Rebel T3; resolution and controls depend on live-view mode.
