AirPods Overlay for Android TV
AppShow an AirPods connection prompt on Android TV
AirPods Overlay watches local Bluetooth wake beacons and shows a connection prompt over the current Android TV app. With AirPods 4 ANC, double-tapping the front of the case can trigger a popup controlled by the TV remote.
The author verified beacon detection and popup controls on a Xiaomi Mi Box S second generation running Android 11. The APK runs on Android TV 9 or newer; profile connection is implemented but still needs a recorded hardware test, and exact battery, noise modes and ear-removal actions depend on an experimental AAP channel.
- Switch between Apple and non-Apple devices
- See earbud and case battery levels
- Change listening modes without an iPhone
- Pause audio when you remove an earbud
- Control AirPods from Android
- Remote-controlled pairing popup
- Optional TV auto-connect policy controls
- Live beacon diagnostics
