AppUse car apps without Google Play Services
AARE replaces the phone side of Android Auto and sends its own interface to the receiver over USB or Wi-Fi. It can host AndroidX car apps, browse compatible media apps and read authorized messaging notifications without Google Play Services.
It needs an Android phone and a receiver that accepts its certificate. Real-hardware reports cover a 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser 79’s Denso Ten E-DA2 over USB and a K2001N unit with ZLink 3 over wireless; several newer features have only simulated-head-unit tests.
Audio capture, Shizuku and privileged installation offer different audio limits, so check the route on your phone. Keep the default driving restrictions enabled; the optional Passenger override is outside this draft.
