Home Assistant for Quest
AppControl your home from Android devices
Home Assistant Companion connects your Quest to Home Assistant, a home automation server you run yourself. It opens your home dashboard and sends enabled headset sensors, such as battery state, to your own server.
Sideload the minimal Android APK and sign in to an existing Home Assistant server. Quest lacks widgets, shortcuts and standard notifications, and some owners report that its in-use sensor disappears after Horizon OS updates.
On an Android phone, the same app exposes selected Home Assistant controls through Android Auto. Configure the car-screen favorites on the phone first and keep the server reachable away from home. CarPlay uses the separate iOS project.
