AABrowser Widescreen
AppFit parked web video to a wide car screen
AABrowser Widescreen adds video zoom, cropping and controls for wide dashboards to AABrowser’s Android WebView browser. It loads websites on the phone and displays their content through Android Auto.
The fork provides a real widescreen control implementation and examples on a BMW X5 G05 45e. You need Android 15 or newer and a host that admits the sideloaded parked activity; the project’s wider mentions of iDrive generations and Mercedes MBUX are not a verified compatibility list.
Use the browser while parked and retain the host’s driving restrictions. It inherits the browser’s website account requirements and anonymous app-open analytics.
- Use apps missing from the car screen
- Fullscreen video zoom controls
- Fill-to-crop for wide displays
- Global interface scaling
- Browser tabs and saved bookmarks
