TRMNL Kobo
FirmwareTurn your Kobo into a self-updating dashboard
TRMNL Kobo turns the Kobo into a dashboard screen. It downloads images from a TRMNL server on a schedule, sleeps between updates and reports battery and Wi-Fi status to the server you set.
You need NickelMenu (a Kobo menu add-on), some extra Kobo utilities and a server. Your own TRMNL-compatible server needs no purchase; TRMNL's hosted service needs a TRMNL device or a paid BYOD licence.
It's a work in progress, with power and screen-rotation limits on some models.
- Run apps and games on the screen
- Sleeps between refreshes
- Works with a self-hosted server
