Track devices and control your TP-Link router locally
This Home Assistant integration (Home Assistant is a home automation system you run yourself) logs in to the router's own web admin over your network, so it needs no Tether or Deco app cloud. It tracks connected devices, reports client counts, CPU, memory, WAN uptime and LTE data, and has switches for Wi-Fi bands, guest and IoT networks, VPN and DHCP. It also fires events when a device joins or leaves and can reboot the router or manage DHCP reservations.
You install it through HACS (Home Assistant's add-on store) with the router's IP and its admin password. On Deco and EasyMesh it adds a tracker per mesh node. The router allows one admin login at a time, so each update logs you out of the web page unless you pause polling with its switch.
Support depends on model and firmware: the README lists Archer, Deco and Mercusys models by hardware version and warns that one router firmware update broke compatibility. Entities appear only when the router reports that value.
Also works with Mercusys
