Self-hostedBack up dashcam clips when you get home
TeslaUSB makes a Raspberry Pi act as the car's dashcam USB drive and copies saved footage to your own server over Wi-Fi. It can retain more than the car's rolling hour of video, serve a local clip viewer and hold music files.
You need a supported board, a microSD card and Wi-Fi where you park; no Tesla paid plan is needed. The current branch does not archive the encrypted recording layout introduced in 2026.20, and the proposed fix remains an open pull request.
