Dish stats, outages and obstruction maps on your own server
starlink-grpc-tools is a set of Python scripts that read the dish's local gRPC interface at 192.168.100.1, the same one the Starlink app uses. They write status, history and ping-drop statistics to the terminal, SQLite, MQTT (a home-automation message bus), InfluxDB or a Prometheus endpoint for Grafana, and ship sample Grafana dashboards.
They also include dish_control.py to reboot, stow, unstow and set the sleep schedule, and dish_obstruction_map.py to save the obstruction map as a PNG. No Starlink account or key is needed; the dish only has to be reachable from the machine.
With a third-party router you must add a route to 192.168.100.1 first. The dish keeps about 15 minutes of history, so polling must be more often than that. Location data is no longer available over gRPC for most plans, per the README.
