FirmwareRun phone-powered apps on your PineTime
SlateOS turns the watch into a display and controls for JavaScript apps running on an Android phone. Its companion sends app screens over Bluetooth and receives taps from the watch. The supplied apps include maps, navigation, media controls and weather.
You install both SlateOS firmware and its Android companion; Gadgetbridge is not its everyday companion. The author calls it a work in progress. The clock, step display and local settings remain available without the phone, but most apps need the connection.
