FirmwareUse a Rust watch system with phone notifications
PineForge replaces the watch software with a Rust system for notifications, music controls, timers and local time setting. It reads the watch's sensors and uses Bluetooth services compatible with Gadgetbridge, an Android watch companion.
A release ZIP can be installed through Gadgetbridge, with an on-watch confirmation step after testing. Hardware evidence covers one main setup and a second watch with a smaller set of checks. Step and heart-rate accuracy, the newer flash revision and several weather paths remain unvalidated.
- Add apps with community firmware
- Connect notifications and phone controls
- Persistent Bluetooth-off switch
- Manual time and date setting
- Firmware trial confirmation and rollback
