RoMote
AppControl Roku from an Android phone
RoMote sends remote buttons, text and channel launches directly to your Roku over the local network. It uses Roku's External Control Protocol and does not need a Roku subscription.
Install it from F-Droid or Google Play on Android 8 or newer, and put both devices on the same network. Enable Control by mobile apps in Roku's settings; some owners report discovery and long-press problems.
- Control it from my phone or smart home
- Phone keyboard for Roku text fields
- Launch installed channels
