Prius Live
AppSee your Prius battery and hybrid system live
Prius Live shows battery blocks, temperatures, motor activity and energy flow on Android or a Windows laptop. It reads a 2010–2015 Prius through a Classic Bluetooth ELM327 adapter plugged into the OBD-II port. It also calculates trip totals, fuel economy and battery capacity estimates.
Android owners can install the project's APK; Windows users install Python and run the app. The author tested the readings on a 2010 Prius, while some displayed calculations and warning limits remain estimates. The app sends diagnostic read requests and adapter settings, without changing car settings or needing a Toyota account.
- Check your hybrid or EV battery health
- Read car data without a paid plan
- Animated energy-flow diagrams
- Per-block battery readings
